Great Smoky Mountains National Park - a U.N designated International Biosphere Reserve - provides the photographer with one of the best venues in the country to capture fall colors. We've picked a week where colors should peak at mid to low elevations.

The Smokys are a great place to shoot almost any time of year but, in fall, the diversity of its trees - beech, maple, cherry, birch, ash and more - dot the landscape with a multitude of yellows and reds in an autumn display you'll not soon forget. Wildlife will be in their full coats - white tail deer, black bear and elk. Whether shooting in historic Cades Cove, along  streams and trails or the forest floor, you won't run out of subjects to capture. We'll shoot early and late, in crystal clear light or in mist and fog that gives this part of the Appalachians its name. Come join us.
